'Is it safe for my horses?

Yes, when hemp extract enters the body, its effects are mitigated by the endocannabinoid system, a physiological system that occurs naturally in all mammals. This system is made up of a variety of receptors and neurological pathways. CBD just enhances what is already in our bodies. 

Is there any THC in the edible discs?

Organic CBD Oil is produced from industrial hemp that contains less than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis. Our herbal supplements for horses will not get your horses high. Colorado’s industrial hemp program is one of the most highly regulated programs in the world, in that they do not allow the levels of THC to exceed .3% at any step of the process. H & J Equine natural horse supplements always use hemp grown under the guidelines of the Colorado Industrial Hemp program.   CBD is a full-spectrum and organic oil.  Ethynol is never used to extract our CBD from the hemp plant. 

Why did you make it into an edible disc?

CBD Oil is expensive, and we wanted a product that we knew the horses would eat. Unlike a pellet that can dribble out of the horse’s mouth or a gel that they would spit out, we knew most horses liked cookies and treats!  We've found the cookie to be the best CBD delivery system for equines. This natural horse supplement is a practical, convenient method to deliver the benefits that you want for your horses.

Can dogs eat it too? 

Yes, and dogs love it.  Just break the disc in half for bigger dogs and a 1/4 of a disc for smaller dogs.  Your dog will let you know if they need more of less.

The farm practices less invasive horticulture to grow a healthy and potent crop, never spraying any pesticides, herbicides or insecticides on our plants.

We use minimally processed, whole food ingredients sourced locally and organically whenever possible and always traceable.
